What do I do if I find a domestic rabbit outside?

If you find a domestic rabbit outdoors, we ask that you take a picture and send it along with the location ​to our Gmail for assessment.

How can I meet a rabbit?

SBRR hosts monthly events at REN’s Pets in Sudbury where you can meet adoptable rabbits.

What is your adoption fee?

Our adoption fee is $150 for a single rabbit and $250 for a bonded pair.

What is your surrender fee?

The surrender fee for a rabbit is $75.

How long is the surrender waitlist?

The surrender waitlist is approximately 6 months, however it varies with time of year, emergency ​abandonment, and foster home availability. If you are able to foster your rabbit with SBRR, we can ​facilitate adoption sooner.

Where are you located?

SBRR does not have a shelter location, but is operated in the Greater Sudbury Area.

How do I adopt?

SBRR has a Foster-to-Adopt program! To adopt, please complete a Foster/Adoption application.

How do I surrender a rabbit?

To surrender a rabbit, please email SudburyBunnyRescueRoom@gmail.com to complete a Surrender ​Request Form.

What if adoption doesn’t work out?

All adopters must enter our Foster-to-Adopt stream with a mandatory 2 week foster period. If the ​adoption does not work out within the 2-week period, SBRR is happy to have the rabbit enter another ​foster home. If adoption does not work out after the process is finalized, adopters can submit a ​Surrender Request Form.
